Roots of this beer are obvious to me, feel that this one could not escape. Some carbonation, medium light crown, pale gold. Earthy character, British hops and malt. Malty nose, amber, small off-white head. Malt taste, but some medicinal quality too. Medium bodied, lightly sweet. Good.

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 30, 2004 500 ml bottle. Golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy and creamy white head. Grassy and lightly grainy aroma. Honey and sugary sweet flavours, lightly grainy, virtually no hop character. Light to medium bodied, watery and prickly mouthfeel. johndoughty (2159), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 30, 2004 A very bad attempt at a pils.Hardly any taste and very little body. It might be brave for a Scotish brewery to attempt this style but if this is the best they can do why bother? Boystout (900), Chisinau, Moldova
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 13, 2004 Not very good, really. And not a pilsner. Straw colour, small head, light fruity aroma. Flat, watery and boring. leaparsons (4749), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 14, 2004 Bottled. Pale gold in colour - like a pilsner. Aroma is, strangely, weak gooseberry. Flavours are light grain and those gooseberries again. Odd. The finish is short and sweet and not in a good way. Not a pilsner in my view. rauchbier (3002), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 1, 2004 Bottle. Straw gold, poor white head and aggresive condition. Fruity citric, almost metallic in the nose. Smokiness in the mouth that turns plasticy and phenolic, laced with starchiness. The good people of Pilsen should contact a good lawyer.
