F: Sweet hunny, fresh hops, fruity (undefined) sound67 (157), Offenbach, Germany Sep 9, 2009 Updated: Oct 6, 200950cl dark amber bottle, as shown. Color, likewise, is dark amber. Creamy, sticky medium head. Aroma of toffee and stewed fruit. Soft malty, caramel flavor, again with stewed fruit for balance. Rather sweetish. Medium-bodied at first, but with its oily texture it’ll grow on you. Soft bitter finish. As stated before, this really is a dark ale to relax comfortably in your chair on a quiet evening. You won’t drink many of these in one evening. Good ale. simoneopazz (46), , Italy Aug 30, 2009 bella schiuma bianca, compatta, risulta una birra molto rinfrescante e leggera. Leggermente agrumata,ma molto dissetante.
una buona birra da compagnia,da bere senza pretese! saxo (3510), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Aug 29, 2009 Sample at Voldby Ølmesse. Medium head with medium duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are malt, fruits, caramel, citrus and hops. berkshirejohn (1759), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Aug 17, 2009 50cl bottle from Waitrose, Edinburgh. Copper with a thick cream head leaving lots of lacing; toffee aroma; sweet caramel malt flavour with a dry toasty finish. Very drinkable. rozsoma (39), Győr, Hungary Aug 16, 2009 Yes, a fantastic beer. Something is known very much in Belhaven. They have so many brilliant beer. This one with a
light-brown head a good choice for lying back and relax. The first thing that you can realize: the caramellic aroma with some plum(yes, really plum). Initial taste is heavy sweet. Then develop the harsh alcoholic, full body, which is a bit sirupy-a bit oily, and very thick.
In the finish there is some stewed prunes.
I have to find on the map, very is Belhaven just now!!! mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 9, 2009 [2287-20090618] 16.9floz bottle. Sweet honey grains and mild corn aroma. Clear, amber brown body with a quick foamy off-white head. Lots of honey toasted grains in the flavour. Medium body. Fair, lots of toast crumbs.
