Mar 21, 2009 On tap at Meg O’Malleys--Small head by the time it arrived at my table. The head did leave lacing during the entire drink. The color was a deep amber with a slight amount of carbonation. I didn’t notice much of a aroma, perhaps a bit of hops. This tends to be a problem of mine at restaurants. The taste is sweet with some caramel and nuts. Lovely drink.

Mar 20, 2009 On tap @ St. Andrews on 44th & 5-6th. Bartender poured a nice sized sample of this for me and a coworker. Nitro pour, intensly froathy off white head. Mouthfeel was very creamy/buttery. Notes of nut, cream and malt. Good, but it’s most accomplished attribute is the creaminess of this.

Mar 13, 2009 12 oz bottle. Poured a dark amber color with a creamy, off white head. The aroma was caramel and a bit of earthy hops. The flavor was caramel malt, toffee and some nuts. This was a very enjoyable beer.

Mar 12, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a deep amber with a nice, creamy off-white head. The head settles down leaving behind some very nice lacing. There is some caramel, a candy sweetness, and a twinge of hops in the nose. Medium-light carbonation with a medium, creamy mouthfeel. Tastes of malt, toffee, nuts, and a hint of coffee. Very gentle hop bitterness leaves behind a good deal of sweetness. I like this beer! Fairly straight forward and very drinkable!!

Mar 8, 2009 Dark golden color with a white head that dispersed rather quickly...A very smooth and delicious beer that is easy to drink. One of my favorites.

Mar 6, 2009 This is the least intimidating scotch ale that I’ve ever had (if it is). It is lighter in color for a scotch ale and very easy on the palate, again, for a scotch ale. I think it tastes delicious, like a golden ale almost.

Mar 2, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours amber-light brown. Smells malty and hoppy. Tastes of grains, nuts, grass, roasty, and toffee. Very nice aftertaste.
