Pours reddish copper with medium off white head. Aroma of sweet malt, smoke and caramel. Smooth flavor that matches aroma. Good.

Nitro can. Smooth and creamy with a nice light caramel taste. There’s a mellow smokiness that goes with it. Not too shabby.

Thick, thick white head that was long lasting. Taste is smooth with creamy texture on the palate, sweet aromas, malty start with slightly bitter ending

On tap at Flying Saucer. Has a ruby copper color with a medium off white head. The aroma is a very sweet malt and smoke. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is also a sweet malt with a nice bitter finish. A really good bitter from Belhaven.

Aye, this be an intrestin’ one, lassie! This has a GREAT feel/body in my opinion, but just lacks flavour and individuality. But, I would drink it again.

Bottle. Fluffy buth medium high and long lasting white head leavring curtiains on the glass. Good looking clear cobber body. Sweet caramel aroma cobined with roasted malt and a bit of coffee as well. Strangely thin and watery flavor with only a bit of caramel and aon top of it a metallic note. Low carbonation and a short aftertaste.

Aroma of molasses and sweetness. Taste up front is good but is followed by a strange aftertaste. The aftertaste is not so much bitter, it’s a cross between smoky/peaty that is unlike other scottish ales I’ve tried. I bought this in the bottle form and drank from a glass.

Aroma is a mild sweet malt scent. Color is a golden amber with good carbonation and a thick tall head. Taste is smooth and clean. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a very smooth feel that has just a slight crispness on the tail. Finish comes though with a mellow malt and toasted caramel almost nutty flavor then just a hint of bitterness. After taste is clean with the bitterness coming up a bit. Overall I think its a very tasty brew, may be a bit light for a Scottish Ale.
