Jan 11, 2008 Aroma is a mild sweet malt scent. Color is a golden amber with good carbonation and a thick tall head. Taste is smooth and clean. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a very smooth feel that has just a slight crispness on the tail. Finish comes though with a mellow malt and toasted caramel almost nutty flavor then just a hint of bitterness. After taste is clean with the bitterness coming up a bit. Overall I think its a very tasty brew, may be a bit light for a Scottish Ale.

Jan 10, 2008 16.9 oz bottle-A red body with a huge off white head and an aroma of roasted malt, sweetness, smoke, and a little hops. Taste of this light to medium bodied brew is of the same with a nice malt flavor coming out in the front end and lasting throughout the taste. A nice bitterness on the back end. Another good brew from these guys.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear rusty sunset hue. Nice off white head. Has an earthy, smokey, spicy hop smell... Scottish all the way.Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel, nicely carbonated. Beautiful lacing. Has a nice grainy malt, slightly smoked flavor. Slightly bitter to finish.
Not sweet, perfumy, nor tart; a real beer drinkers beer.A favorite of mjne back in the 1980’s

Jan 6, 2008 A clear attractive red color witha foamy beige head. Sweet malty scent with some earthy, vinous notes. Bready with some light sweetness and an earthy mineral quality, not overpowering or over the top in any way shape or form, just a nice session beer. Nice dry aftertaste. If it isn’t Scottish, it’s crrrrrap!

Jan 2, 2008 had it on tap.One of the best looking beers I have ever seen. Had the most long lasting beautiful head. Incredibly smooth taste almost creamy.
