Belhaven Scottish Lager (Bottle)

Bottle (in NZ). Pours a very clear bright gold with plenty of carbonation and a fluffy white head. Big grainy malt aroma with a touch of citrus hop. The malt is a bit papery and stale on the palate, but there is some tropical fruit from the hops. Moderately crisp. All in all, a better lager than most.

Bottled. Golden with white head. Aroma of malt with notes of fruit and citrus. Flavor is bread, sweet fruit and low bitterness.

Golden coloured (a bit hazy), small white head, odd stale lemony apple nose. Watery, slight vinous and weak bready with notes of pineapple and peach in the finish. Is this really so bad or this was just infected bottle.

Poured a golden body with a head that went away fast. Extremely weak nose, maybe cooked apple. Acidic overcarbonated taste, notes of pineapple which aren’t all that bad but this is a mess and not all that pleasant to drink overall. Who are they kidding? Schiehallion raised my opinion of Scotland-made lagers a lot and this lowered it again just as much.

On draught at The Pub. This brew is a clear golden color with a medium thin white head that burns away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Grassy hops and malt aroma. Light body with malt, grassy hops and cardboard flavors. The finish is mild malt and hops and is short-lived. Pretty basic and boring overall.

Tap at Caledonia Pub, Hungary, called Best Scottish Lager. Nice appearance, pale yellow color, small but delisicious head. Fruity aroma and taste, better than the other lagers in Middle-Europe. Fine, drinkable lager.
I’ve tasted now the bottled version, it was a thinner one...

Valamivel gyümölcsösebb és ízesebb az átlag lagereknél,de nem sokkal tud többet náluk,de szerintem nem is akar.Csapolva a kánikulában remekül megfelel gyors szomjoltónak.
