Bottle: Literally black, firm tanned head; sweetish "smoky" nose with traces of dried fruits and chocolate; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; sweet toasty and fruity-chocolatey finish with a roast-malty-bitter aftertaste. Unfortunately a bit too much on the sweet side, but otherwise a good, flavourful Stout......

500 ml. bottle- Pours Black with a thick head, aroma is of alcohol. The flavor is roasted malt and the usual flavors in a Imperial stout. What intrigued me about this one is that it is an authentic Scottish stout, and a very good one at that. It’s not as bold as your typical Imperial American Stout, but it is smoother, and I could drink this all night.

Motor oil pour, low head and lace. Smokey, bready aroma. Bitter malty flavor, with a wheaty bready mouth, and a lot of chocolatey bitter coffee flavors. Medium carb, thick, smokey roasted soy and worcestershire sauce. Lots of chocolate, like a milkshake. Some alcohol comes in at the end. Woody, biscuity, just a hint of worcestershire sauce. Outstanding.

Will pour a five+ finger light tan head that fades quickly to a thin layer, leaving some lace. Black color no highlights. Light-medium carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Light chocolate nose. Flavor is roasted chocolate, somewhat sweet. Dry finish. $4.99 for a 500ml bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT.

bottle - Pours near black with a nice tan head. The aroma is of roast malt and chocolate malt. It has a robust roast chocolate malt flavor with hints of coffee. It’s not too sweet and overall is a good, flavorful, easy drinking stout.

This fabulous stout holds a great, light brown, frothy head... Holds it shape very well.  Color black and solid.  Unmistakable roasted, almost smoky and woody chocolate aroma.  Flavor is also unique: expands on the roasted aroma with a smooth chocolate finish.  Possible coffee undertones with a bitter presence.  This is a great beer!

Bottled (BB 10/2010, @Kaisla)
Dark brown color, creamy brown head, some lace. Sticky, a bit sour milky lactose aroma, some mild chocolate. Flavor is a bit similar, sweet milky, some lactose, light sourness, chocolate or cocoa, roasted malts in the finish. Very milk stout -like. Flavors are not very intensive, so it is a bit bland despite of being powerful 7%.
