Pours a nice dark reddish cooper with a nice frothy white head and good lacing as per the description
The aroma light caramel malt
the taste is light sweet malt with a touch of hops a liitle thin but not bad
KyotoLefty (1371), Kyoto, Japan Nov 6, 2009 Dark copper color with a thin, almost lacy, head. Piney, slightly citrus hops with a caramel malt base, with a touch of tobacco and dried fruit. Rather faint altogether. Bigger malt in the mouth, lots of caramel and chocolate, along with raisins. Some piney hop flavor, a touch of citrus, and very light bitterness in the end. Smooth and rounded enough. Well balanced but rather dull in flavor. Boutip (2333), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Nov 4, 2009 Bottle: Poured a copper color ale with a large foamy head with great retention and very good lacing. Aroma of medium caramel malt with light dry hoppy finish. Taste is a well rounded mix between some hoppy dry English style hops and some timid caramel malt. Body is about average with super great carbonation thought. Not bad and quite drinkable. drpimento (785), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Nov 2, 2009 served a mug with a small to medium head and no lace. Aroma is heavy traditional Bavarian Weizen - pungent, sweet-sour, fruity, malty, und vundrerbar! Color is a hazy light to medium-light amber. Flavor is prominently a pungent malt with lemony citrus character. Hardly any hop. Finish is like regular flav. One of the richest, most full flavored weizens. Perhaps a session. probstk (1005), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Nov 1, 2009 500 ml bottle, served at cellar temperature in a Scotch Irish taster glass.
App.: Clear deep amber with a fair light tan head.
Aroma: Some stern toffee and caramel malts, a little smoke, some vague fruitiness, overall, fairly inviting.
Palate: Medium body and carbonation.
Flav.: Similar to the nose with some earthy malts and hops, light fruitiness and a touch of smoke; dry with a hint of bitterness.
Nothing too special, but drinkable. DJMonarch (5966), Northwich, Cheshire, England Nov 1, 2009 500ml Bottle at Home 28/04/2009
Hoppy aroma. White head. Bronze golden coloured and floral with a little fruit flavour. Some dryness in a wheaty malt finish. michael-pollack (2601), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 30, 2009 12oz. Bottle: Faint aroma of light caramel, light malts, and a hint of butter. Poured copper/amber in color with a large, creamy, dense, off-white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is slightly sweet. Tastes of malts, slight smoke, slight caramel, and a hint of cocoa. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt and caramel finish is dry. kappldav123 (1789), Markkleeberg, Germany Oct 30, 2009 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. A bit darker than exspected, creamy head. Starts malty and dry, almost like a dunkel. But also hoppy-flowery notes, also some caramell. Finish malty and dry, a bit woody. Really interesting beer!
