| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 23, 2008 A dark golden ale with floaties floating about, a bit murky, and a thin off white head. Light caramel malt, with light musty oxidation notes. In mouth, a good nutty caramel malt, woody with light peated notes, a bit past its prime, but overall, a nice ale, very Scotch. Bottle BB Apr. 2008. donteatpoop (125), Youngstown, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 15, 2008 Poured a cleara copper with about an inch of white head which clung to the sides of the glass, leaving a beautiful lace.
The smell is all malt and caramel with just a hint of hops, the malts dominate.
The caramel gives a sweet touch to the malts and hops.
Somewhat thick in the mouth, goes down smoothe.
Very drinkable, next time I’m going to have to buy a few of these so that I can drink more.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 2, 2008 Dark amber beer, small 1/2 inch head. Fruity (apple), and malt aroma. Full hoppy taste, with dark, almost but not quite roasted, malt, that is actually quite bitter. Good flavorful pretty clean finish. jeg (115), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 31, 2008 Amber color, small head, subdued aroma, but a nice classic bitter taste. Great for a session brew, as it’s not very strong, but quite tasty. HonkeyBra (1370), Lemont, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Dark amber color, nice frothy head. Aroma is scotch, barley, malt. Flavor is malty and dry, with a little fruit. Crisp, albeit a tad thin. I like it, though. wacohoover (100), Garland, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 27, 2008 I enjoy this beer. Has a smooth flavor, kind of malty. Good hearty feel to it. This is one of the best Scottish Ales that you can find in the US, but of course not the best that you can find in Scotland.
