500 ml. bottle. Sweet caramel malt aroma with some fruity hop notes. Murky amber color with a white head that quickly filmed. A bit thin bodied. Mild carbonation. Caramel malt, with a little smoke, a little stone fruit, and arguably a bit of citrus. The finish is reasonably dry, and there’s not a great deal of bitter. Refreshingly unsticky, compared to a number of Scottish examples. I like it.

Pours amber with a malty almost sweet taste. One wouldn’t need to see the label to know it is from Great Britain. Drinkable and worth trying. There are much better beers for the price however.

355 ml bottle - Clear reddish brown in colour with a fine, frothy, off white head. Great lacing. Medium to full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Rich and malty, slightly smoky, dried fruit, with a very pleasant, mildly bitter finish with just a hint of alcohol showing through..

A clear, dark amber ale with a nice caramel aroma and a malt-hop balance. Smokey, creamy flavor. Nearly balanced finish, leaning toward bitter.

Pours a reddish-gold with a thick, rocky head. Has a very malty aroma, almost like a German lager. Taste has more malt sweetness plus caramel, light fruit and a mild toastiness (roast barley?). Finishes with a balanced bitterness. Very good session beer.
