Light brown color with medium carbonation. Malty aroma with a fruity undertone. Flavor is sourish, but also sweet and fruity. Ends with a discreet finish.

Orange hue tan and crystal clear pour. The head is large and off white. Very pretty. The bold malt dominates the aroma, there is a hint of sweetness. There is little to no hop in the flavor. The Malt is highlighted with a mild sour berry/fruit flavor that is very out of place. The bitterness is nice and strong. Very unique, the extra (unnecessary) flavors keep this from being a very good beer. very drinkable, however.

Bottled. An amber coloured beer with a big pillowy whitish head. A very malty beer in both aroma and taste with some cardboard mixed into the nose. Possibly a bit too malty for its own good, and desperately lacking any hop character, but isn’t that the way with Old Scottish recipes. Clearly dead, and wanting for charcter because of it.

Bottle. Amber colour with a decent foamy head. Aroma of some roasted malt and caramel, bit fruity. Flavour is dry with bitter hops, mild roasty malts, caramel and fruity towards the end. A tastybitter Scottish ale.

12 oz bottle poured into a glass. Wow, this sucks. Flavor is very smokey, coffe-like but watery. Has noticeable precence of alchol which is pathetic for a 4.6% beer. Best or worst part of the beer is the golf connection. Thin and watery.

The aroma was toasty with a mineral component and a estery aspect with a hint of diacetyl. Some caramel character was also notable. The copper beer had a slight haze and a white head which rose slightly and fell quickly but laced the glass. The flavor was bitter and toasty with a some caramel and a nice mineral aspect coupled with a light estery profile. The malt and hop balance was well achieved with just a lightly earthy hop flavor, and most of the hop chacteristics centered on the bittering. The body was medium with a moderate carbonation level and a very creamy mouthfeel. A really nice Ordinary Bitter, kinda small for an ESB however. 12 ounce bottle.

Bottle 500ml. Nice pour. Dense creamy tan head over a clear amber colored body. Lots of malt to the nose. Also scents of flowery/herbal hops, fresh wood and smoke. Medium sweet caramel and malt flavors. Notes of acidity and dry fruitiness. Discreet hopbitterness. Medium body. Slightly sweet and bitter finish. Enjoyable.

bottle - Pours copper with a good sized white head that laces nicely. It has a mild hoppy aroma and hints of some kind of fruit that I couldn’t place. It tastes moderately hoppy with malt and mild fruit notes. The balance is nice. I was puzzled to taste what seemed to be some alcohol in the finish, which seemed odd for the low ABV. Medium bodied and good for sessions, this is a pretty good quaff.
