Jan 16, 2007 Updated: Feb 5, 2007(Bottle) Pours light nutty brown with red hints. Light aroma of malt, caramel, cherry cake and some fruity tones. A bit creamy. Some soft hops (spicy) in the background. Medium soft, creamy mouthfeel with a light spicy sting. Flavour have a touch of citrus and malt. Small, light bitterness and a small body.

Jan 13, 2007 Golden with a little white head. Smells molasses, and tastes sweet at first and then the taste disappears. The aftertaste comes back as molasses, and then is gone quickly. It is full-bodied for an ale, with lots of carbonation. It seems to leave a film on your mouth, although that could be because I didn’t brush my teeth this morning.

Dec 15, 2006 Poured a transparent copper color with a foamy, lacing white head. Malty aroma, very little hops. Flavor was sweet, with notes of caramel and butter. Finish is only slightly bitter and very smooth. Highly drinkable.

Nov 27, 2006 Bottled(500ml). –Clear amber coloured, medium sized white head, dusty caramel nose. Aroma is sweet malty and nice fruity with slight hoppy and light smoked notes. Very smooth with mild bitter finish.

Nov 7, 2006 Many thanks to johndoughty who kindly brought this fine Scottish Ale back from north of the border. Amber with a large white head. Rich malt aroma. The taste is strong, sweet and malty with a smokey background and an agreeable bitterness. Smooth and easy to enjoy.

Nov 2, 2006 Dark nut-brown, sweet whiskeyish caramel aroma, a little fruity. Malty and peaty, vaguely fruity. These Scottish ales really have a nice character of their own.
