Dark nut-brown, sweet whiskeyish caramel aroma, a little fruity. Malty and peaty, vaguely fruity. These Scottish ales really have a nice character of their own.

Off white head on an amber body. The flavour is tto bitter, too acid to my taste. Perhaps I got a wrong bottle, but I’l definitely pass.

Pours bright orangish amber with a mostly receding off-white head. Age or poor storage conditions are evident due to autolyzed yeast. Aroma and taste of sweet caramel, toffee, and alefruits. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and sticky with lush carbonation. Sweet, fruity, light malty and rereshing.

500 ml bottle. Amber, clear with a medium-sized head. Creamy at the top, but coarse bubbles at the edges. Nutty roasted malt aroma. More hop flavours. Slightly burnt malts in the mouth particularly in the finish. Somewhat oxidized or perhaps just old.

Bottle. Pours clear caramel with off white head. Aroma is scotch, pine, and malt. Flavor is smokey, pine, molasses, bitter, and caramel. The combination is not that pleasing to me.
