Commercial Description:
Bottle: Pasteurised.
A full-bodied and malty ale with a rounded, smooth fruit palate and a tight, creamy head that laces all the way down the glass. Rich in colour with a smooth, creamy texture and a distinctively strong flavour.

Dark golden, not quite amber in color. Creamy head, lingering. The smell has aspects of malt, and very slight hop. medium-light carbonation. smokey taste, it was surprising to me. good lacing. never saw the smoke/roast flavor coming. nice touch. Touche Kroger Grocery hellhole, this is a fine beer.

Bottled. Clear, golden to copper beer with a medium, off-white head. Rich, malty aroma with some smokiness. Creamy mouthfeel and a malty, caramel flavor with too much smoke in it. Normally, smoke is ok, but this smoke feels like when you get out of bed the morning after a large party with lots of smokers present. Nice bitter finish. (060316)

Pour is dark orange/amber. The head is a nice white lacing. Aroma is twangy with some smokiness. Not what I expected from an ESB at all. This is almost a scotch type ale?

Smells quite nice - hops w/that creamy ale aroma. A lighter appearance at the bottom than the top, it doesn’t really have the creamy ale look or taste, just aroma. This is a bit heavy than it looks or you first taste, but certainly one of the best Scottish ales/ESBs I’ve ever had.

Pours a deep dark amber color. Aromas malt, fruits, and a hint of hoppiness. Flavor is rich, roasted with a touch of smoke. Kind of bitter and tart on the finish.

500 ml. bottle. Head goes down quickly. Malty and earthy taste with a slightly hoppy dry fruity fishish which lingers. A little too sweet for my taste, nonetheless a good beer. Weird as it may sound, it goes well with alfalfa sprouts (on a sandwich with turkey slices and avacado slices).

500 ml bottle: Clear amber color with a moderate off white head. Aroma is lightly sweet and fruity. Flavor starts lightly fruity and sweet followed by a smokey flavor and finishing kinda sweet with little bitterness. Thin body, but creamy with medium carbonation. More like an Irish Ale than a Bitter.

roasted caramel in the nose, some malt. Taste is very roasted, somewhat hoppy. This is a decent bitter, but nothing to brag about
