On tap, Sarah’s, Toronto. I had no idea this was on tap in the city. Dark orange pour, small thick white head. Light weak malt aroma. Heavy malt taste but very unbalanced and a little skunky. Very watery mouthfeel. Slightly orange tea like. Some lingering bitterness. Not great and not worth having the entire pint that I did. Perhaps it wasn’t served in the best condition although this is an excellent beer establishment and other pints of the night were in fine form. Maybe it just hasn’t traveled well. Maybe I’m out of excuses.

This is good beer! It’s been a long time since I tried it and it hasn’t changed. Looks good, lovely balanced nose with flowery hops coming to the fore.Full flavoured and very satisfying, the finish is flavour packed and long lasting..damn fine stuff! Bottle from Tesco Galashiels

Dark orangish-red with not much carbonation. Sweet aromas of toffee and buttery malts. Chewy, candy like flavors of buttered toast and nuts. Finished with a sweet fruit flavor and a slight hop bite. Rich and flavorful.

(bottle) Nobody else has said it, so I will. This beer had a greenish tint to it. There, I’ve said it. Aside from the odd coloring, this was a pretty decent beer. The bar had it listed as a smoked beer, so I was a little disappointed to find an ESB instead, but it was quite decent. Actually reminded me more of a Alt than an ESB.

Virtually no head, but manages fairly creamy mouthful. malty aroma ... medium body but surprisingly not ’filling’.

Bottle from Tesco, Fort William. Pasteurised. Aroma of malt, smoke, peat, caramel. I expected a fuller body from memory. Smoky aftertaste. Good stuff.

This has quite a bready, stable kind of aroma that im not fond of at all. Taste is similar though a bit watery and thin, lacking something. I dont really remember drinking this which is a bit annoying aswell.
