Body is clear dark amber. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white. Aroma is lightly malty and lightly hoppy with a light note of smoke. Flavor is malty sweet and lightly bitter. Finish is light bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Nice balance but nothing really special.

Good brew. Dark amber, light brown appearance. Small off-white head. Decent roasted malty aroma. Flavor was good, but not really exceptional. Sweet finish.

Deep golden with lacey foam. Quite malty and bitter (hints of buckwheat, smoke and rust).

Ruby spalshed amber with a tall rocky tanned head. Aroma is malty with some hints of spice and hops mixed with faint smoke. Taste is mildly malted with more light spice and smoke. Light fruit notes show through at times but recede as the smoke comes through. Palate is moderate with mild carbonation and smoke. Finish is sweet with mild smoke and more fruit notes coming out.

Honey coloured body with an off-white medium sized head. Malt aroma of caramel as well as a touch of peat. Flavour was smooth and medium bodied with the malt characteristics coming through, also some smoke and dried fruit. Not a full blown scottish ale but very drinkable.

Poured amber with a thin long lasting head...smells of peat and malt...this beer lacked any real defining characteristics...very thin and watery...this can stay on the shelf next time...

This pours a deep amber color with a small sized yet long lasting head. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is fresh apple cider and iced tea. The taste is a watered down cider. Has notes of lemon and iced tea. The smoky moss is noticed at teh end of each drink. Just a little thin for my tastes.
