Deep amber colour, clean and clear, with a white foaming head. Roasted malt and peat aroma (was I imagining it after my emotional round of golf in the wind?). Earthy, smoked notes, complex and intriguing. Bready, peat flavours with good bitter length on the palate. (No I don’t think so. I had a few more on another day and they were just as good). I found this a non full bodied ale without the strong malt ovewrtones you would expect. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 7, 2004 (on bottle) Too bad for this beer, I´ve had some better ones before that night. This brew has alot of scot in the nose, but the mouth is disapointing. It´s weak in turms of tar-, dirt- and heattastes and therefor the bitternes becomes too dominant. This brewhouse makes ´em so mush better.
