A full-bodied and malty ale with a rounded, smooth fruit palate and a tight, creamy head that laces all the way down the glass. Rich in colour with a smooth, creamy texture and a distinctively strong flavour.

500 ml bottle. Very light (blondish maple) for a SA, clear. Small diminishing head. Smoky-caramel nose, bit yeasaty. Really nice smoky flavor at the front gives way to a slightly thin sourness at the finish. Not bad overall, but I think this could be fresher.

Bready aroma with perhaps a hint of clove? ... Dark copper in color with lively head ... Lightly sweet start, crisp/hoppy in the middle, with a nice malty finish ... another fine Belhaven product, would be happy to drink again.

Clear amber color, decent head out of the bottle. VERY smooth and malty. Roasty. Somewhat buttery. An old favorite which I have finally gotten around to trying again. Great session brew!

Amber beer, white decent sized head. Aroma is faint, hops, sweet strawberry notes. Flavour is Stilton, Stilton! Mostly malts. Watery palate. Bottle.

Copper coloured. This has a very light malt aroma. Flavours are sweet, biscuity malts and chocolate with some smokiness and peat. Some fruitiness, too. Clings to the roof of the mouth a bit, though.

Pours transparent amber with large tan head that leaves plenty of lacing. Fruity hops and some malt. Flavor has a nice smoky tone which is a nice surprise. Finish is smooth as can be, though perhaps a bit bland. Slightly tart on the finish. Very tasty indeed.

Very nice, full bodied. Quite buttery and malty all the way, touch of smoke. A nice quaffing ale.

A wonderful scoth ale. Nice carmel color matches the sweet just burnt carmel malt flavor. Very drinkable, not too smokey. Just right and at a reasonable price! This would be the third scotch ale that Goldilocks would try.
