Starts malty and dry, almost like a dunkel. But also hoppy-flowery notes, also some caramell. Finish malty and dry, a bit woody. Really interesting beer!

Amber body with an off-white frothy head that settles to a tenacious layer leaving good lace. Aroma of sweet malts, crystal malt, resinous hops, and wildflowers. Full malt flavor, hints of treacle and toffee in the aftertaste, and a clean finish. Very smooth mouth feel. A fine brew, Scotland! sourale (5), Italy does not count | 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Dec 29, 2009 The beer is not bad, but they are only a group of thieves. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Big rum and Coke nose, some citrus notes. Cloudy reddish brow, small soapy head. Salt water taffy sweetness, spicy bitterness. Big carbonation, medium body, full mouth feel, finishes unfortunately like a cola flavored “malt beverage” alcopop. Everything indicated that this would be an interesting beer, but once ingested in went downhill.
