Bottle: Pastuerised.
A refreshing example of an India Pale Ale from the master brewers at Belhaven. The blend of Cascade and Challenger hops combine to produce an abundance of fresh hop aroma that preludes a bitter-dry taste explosion. bouteille de 500ml, bière passablement dorée pour une IPA, utilisation de houblon cascade et challenger qui fait un mélange entre les usa et les royaumes-unis, mousse compacte et durable, nez agréable, bouche piquante, amère, longue et avec beaucoup de tonus. j’aime bien.

Bottle. Light malt aromas of light bread and caramel, moderate resin and orange for the hops, light cobwebs for the yeast, and faint notes of apple and berry. Head is frothy, almost white with excellent lacing and is fully lasting. Color is hazy orange/tan with tiny particles. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then the extra long finish is moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily and has a lively carbonation. The finish is lightly drynig. This was a good IPA. It would’ve been exceptional if the aroma was a bit bolder.

Bottle. Poured orange with a creamy off-white head that settle to a ring and left good lacing. Floral aroma with some caramel and citrus backing. The flavor is a malt and hop mix that is a little different but ok. Slightly more fruity that hoppy. Medium body, sweet up front and bitter in the end.

From a bottle at KSBF ’08. Light gold pour capped by a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus, grass, and caramel. Grassy flavor with some citrus and fruity esters. Not bad.

Draught@SBWF2008 (thanks to Jonas for pointing this one out!). Golden colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is hops, fruits, wood and nectar. Flavour is much the same in a very nice balance. Sweet caramel and nectar in flavour. A bit of alcohol too, as well as some rather sweet fruity notes. Pleasant!

Pours a near clear straw color with decent foam white head. Aroma is slightly floral with a hop sweetness. Flavor is weak, but hides the alcohol. A little bit of buttery slickness on the tongue. Not all that impressed.

Pint bottle. I really liked this! Looks and smells liike a good IPA should, with some resin hop aroma. Malt has a shortbread character, with some caramel sweetness. The finish is full of resin and some piney hops bitterness. I liked the malt-hops balance with this one, as well as the flavor complexity. Slightly astringent mouthfeel. Can’t wait to have another.
