| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Tap. This is not an IPA. The taste was a very sweet and sugary, with hints of fruit almost, a mild to low hop aroma that was almost not there. Close to vinegar. mtoast (317), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 16, 2007 On tap, 7/15/07. Pours a nice light amber color with slightly off white foam that sticks around for a bit and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is a nice mix of crystal malts with some american hop notes. Very nice subtle hoppiness layered onto of ye olde english beer standard flavor. Easily one of the best mass market UK pale ales to hit the US shores. jkoch (41), USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 15, 2007 I think this is a great IPA. It’s hoppy without being extremely bitter, and very crisp and refreshing. Armoa is mildly malty and floral. Taste is caramel malt giving way to a citruis from the Cascade hops. Very well balanced. Great beer. I will definately buy this again! khytre (73), Oslo, Norway

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 6, 2007 this was a great IPA. this is a good example that american IPA’s dont have to be uber hoppy to be hoppy and flavourful. great hoppy nose, but its not insanely bitter. a really refreshing beer, very well made, one of my favorites. tarjei (1762), Bryne, Norway
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 5, 2007 50 cl bottle. Amber color, vanishing white head. Caramel and hops, flowers and fruit, hints of perfume. anders37 (4792), Malmö, Sweden
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 4, 2007 Draught @ Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours a clear dark golden color with a longlasting white head. Malty floral hoppy aroma with some hints of citrus. Malty and very hoppy flavor with some floral hints. Long hoppy bitter finish. nearbeer (1882), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 30, 2007 500 mL. No date, but the bottle says 6.1% ABV (instead of 5.3% change indicated for 2007). Slightly cloudy burnt orange-gold with a large, beautifully creamy, and lasting head. Aroma is metallic-spicy, citrus fruit and caramel. Flavor is first rich malt and caramel, slowly turning to dry spices and slight smoke; then drying to a crisp fruity and herb-bitter finish. Palate is medium-heavy and smooth with a nice small hop tingle and dry finish. Not sure how this ended up in the APA category, but it is a great beer whether you call it a Scotch Ale, an APA, an IPA or whatever. Heavily underrated.
