Mar 15, 2007 (bottle) Hazy light-medium amber with generous head. Somewhat fruity aroma (apricot, pineapple, citrus). Flavor is a bit sweet, with hops flavors like the aroma. Actually better colder than when it warmed.

Mar 9, 2007 Bottle. Clear light amber color with a average frothy good lacing white head. Aroma is light malty, caramel, toffe, heavy hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate to light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Mar 8, 2007 Floral, slightly evergreen hop aroma. Not so strong as NW IPAs. A white head that passed away with a little lacing. Good bracing start - malt almost evenly balanced with hop. A bit citrusy. Light to medium mouthfeel. There is a caramel aspect to the malt. But the bitter is always there and it goes on and on. A civilized IPA.

Mar 8, 2007 Light brown and clear. Has a big, white head, mostly lasting. Floral notes in the aroma. Flavor starts medium bitter, finish is more heavy bitter. Palate is watery.

Mar 6, 2007 Picked up this pint in New Jersey. Pours a big creamy head on yellow. Lace in glass. Aroma is metallic, as if it was poured from a can. Taste is thin, creaminess and burnt. There is a moderate bitterness and a ignificant maltness overtaken by the burntness. This was not finishable.

Mar 3, 2007 I dont’ care for pale ales. Having said that, I would endorse this as one of the most drinkable pale ales you can find. Hat’s off, Belhaven.

Feb 28, 2007 [205-20070212] 500mL. Grainy yeast aroma with hoppy thistle sweetness, fruity spices and a hint of licorice. Clear, amber brown body with very tiny disappearing bubbles and a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Flavour has malted wood overtones with a spicey background and a hoppy aftertaste. Medium body, tangy. Interesting blend of spice -- convincingly twisted and thistley.
