| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 24, 2007 I tend to like most IPA’s but I was really disappointed by this. Very grassy aroma to it. Reminds me of the smell of day old grass clippings. This brew is missing the strong hoppy bitterness iat the finish and is too dry for my tastes. It also has a bit of an alcohol bite to the flavor, I’m suprised it’s only at 6.1%. jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Pours lightly hazy copper-orange with a one-finger white head. Herbal, grassy, and slightly piney hops dominate the aroma, but there is an underlying English malt sweetness. The flavor is a lot of the same, but the maltiness is somewhat harsh. The finish is fittingly bitter but fades away too soon. Worth a shot. Strykzone (1484), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 11, 2007 IPAs are low on my list for a beer and had I known this was one it would not have been ordered. However, this beer was found to be a quality offering. The tart hops (normally the turn off for me) are evident but don’t dominate nearly so much. Pine and some sweetness could be easily found but this is mostly dry beer. zamco17 (134), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 7, 2007 smells like an ipa should-bitter!! color is normal. flavor is different than most ipas. good hops up front but not as bitter a finish as the usuals. thats usually a turn off but i knid of like the roasted finish this has. Good effort here. dmac (1492), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Poured a hazy orangish amber with frothy off white head. Aroma of very light hops with some earth also. Flavor was bitter and astringent with not enough hops for an IPA. ghostmonkey (182), budd lake, New Jersey, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 2, 2007 "overly astringent/grainy malt element that ruins the experience" - I don’t even know what this means. But I sorta liked it. Have found that I egenerally prefer American IPAs over European ones.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2007 Bottled sample from gregclow. Pale amber in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas of wildflowers, mild citrus, and a bit of earth. A good whack of bitterness upfront in the mouth, followed by some grassy hop flavors meshing with some slightly sweet crystal malt and a bit of salt. There’s a bit of a British ale yeast fruit component as well. Unfortunately, it gets too dry on the finish and there’s an odd spent hop or maybe overly astringent/grainy malt element that ruins the experience. I would rate this one higher if it wasn’t for the finish.
