Commercial Description:
Bottle: Pastuerised.
A refreshing example of an India Pale Ale from the master brewers at Belhaven. The blend of Cascade and Challenger hops combine to produce an abundance of fresh hop aroma that preludes a bitter-dry taste explosion. Crafted from nearly three centuries of brewing heritage at Scotland’s oldest independent brewery, this ale from Belhaven will have your taste buds tingling.

Draught. Poured medium broen with thick beige head. Floral aroma. hoppy flavour but more subdued, with much caramel. At times, it was more like a Scotch ale than the English IPA it was billed as. Lasting bitter-dry finish.

Thought this was a fairly good beer. Poured from a bottle into a glass. Nothing which stood out, but nothing that made me not want to have another one again.

(Draught) pours amber with a nice head and good lacing. Nose is caramel and piney hops and the taste reflect the same. Lose bitterness and nice finish. Velvety like carbonation and weight. A nice IPA overall.

I guess I am used to an american IPA. Really easy drinking. Not too bitter for an IPA. They may be on to somthing I could pound six of these easy.

Pours amber with little head. Not like the IPA’s we are used to here in the US but overall a smooth beer.

500ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours the nice copper of an English bitter, but with surprising hop aroma and flavour. Very easy drinking.
