Jul 7, 2008 On tap at the Piper’s Pub, nice place. Looks like rootbeer. Creamy thin head that does not fade. Has an olfactory prelude that indicates it’s a strong beer. The first taste is also quite strong in alky flavors. Taste is somewhat like whiskey has been added to this brew. Surprisingly tho, the aparent strength of this stuff seem to fade as the session moves on. Does not leave a terribly bitter alky linger on the end. Just a little too strong for this session beer lover.

Jul 6, 2008 Off taps Capital Ale House. Slight aroma of carmelized malts. Clear amber brown with very small white fine head. Malty flavor of caramel malts with a touch of raison, fruit, and earthy hops. Medium light body. Finish is fairly dry with a bit of residual sweetness and a bit of the hop bitterness. Extremely drinkable

Jul 5, 2008 pint bottle into pint glass. Dark nut brown (a little bit of red) with an off-white head. Smells really yeasty and grainy, like cereal. Tastes thick and malty and grainy with a warm whiskey finish. Medium to heavy bodied on the palate - nice and rich. Overall: good beer, cool style.

Jun 26, 2008 Bottle @ Bishops Arms, Karlstad. Good scottish ale with a sweet malty flavor of dried fruits and some smoke. The taste is special, I would say - and it’s quite good too!

Jun 26, 2008 Dark red appearance, faint malty aroma. Sweet english malts in the flavor, some smoke, dark fruits, and caramel. People complain about the thin body but it seems medium thick and smooth to me. goes down easy with a touch of english hops in the finish. Pretty nice!

Jun 19, 2008 Gift from pop sampled with Stego. Dark amber pour with a malty and smoke aroma. Sweet malt taste with a mild hop note and a bitter but perfect blend finish. Really good.
