May 30, 2008 Pour is very dark golden/brown with fluffy off white head. Aroma is slightly hoppy with a sweet malt and slight caramel character. Wow, complex brew. The first flavor I encountered was the sweet malt that slowly mellowed out in the finish to light caramel and then finished with a taste of butter. No apparent hop character in the taste itself. Very nice smooth sensation. Medium bodied. There might also be some slight fruity notes in the far finish from the yeast. Nice brew. Would buy again.

May 27, 2008 This was an excellent beer. Poured dark brown with a fothy off red head and great lacing. Tasted sweet and thick with roasted malts and a deep flavor.

May 24, 2008 (bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a medium-sized and persistent beige foamy head. Sweet roasted malty aroma with caramel, hints of liquorice and delicate dried fruity notes (prunes). Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a calm carbonation. Solid roast-malty base with caramel, molasses and shy fruity notes; sweet and moderately roasty finish with a light but present alcohol. Reminds me of a decent dark Bock (24.05.08).

May 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours a brown red body with a creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, spices, wood and dark fruit also in the flavor. Little etoh in the finish.

May 22, 2008 This is a great beer. Pours a dark reddish/brown/copper color with a thick, milky tan head. After it settled, aroma was brilliantly malty and sweet. Flavor was of lots of malt... caramel for sure. Very creamy on the mouthfeel.

May 13, 2008 Copper brown. The head on this thing is truly outstanding. It filled up most of the glass at first! Smells nice too. Fresh baked bread, and nice fresh hops. The flavor is wonderful, and kind of hard for me to describe. I want to say fresh baked bread again, but I think there is something else going on here as well. Perhaps a little caramel and toffee. I think the word fresh best describes this beer. It reminds me of fresh spring water on a warm day in the mountains... I know that sounds cheesy, but that’s what I think of when I taste this. Very smooth and relaxing.

May 8, 2008 500 ml bottle from haukur at his tasting on 1 May 2008. Pour is amber-brown with a very thin off white head. Aroma of caramel (a bit burnt), smoked peat, and wet dirt. Taste is sweet toffee, mild peatiness. Good full palate. Nice one, takk Haukur.
