Jan 31, 2008 Bottle-Copper amber color w/a decent head. Easy drinking brew, malty amber flavor w/ traces of roasted nuts, caramel, & molasis. Nothing complex, but very enjoyable.

Jan 24, 2008 Copper-amber color; big bubbles last awhile. Aroma of caramel malts and fresh Wonder bread! Flavors are strong on sweet malts, caramel, cocoa; slight alcohol, wet cardboard, molassas and hop bitterness. A tad cloying but also tasty.

Jan 20, 2008 Bottled, consumed 01/20/08. Pours caramel brown with small, rapidly dissipating head. Aroma of cane sugar and yeasty bread. Smooth texture with significant astringency. Flavor is full and malty with some subtle spicy yeast. The finish has a slight bitter hop tang to it. The only flaw is the tongue-puckering mouthfeel. Not a home run, but a solid triple.

Jan 20, 2008 March 2006 - Man, what a fine beer...how this doesn’t make top 100 is beyond me. Beer poured rusty amber color with nice finger head and sweet lacing. Perfect blend of smoke, chocolate and sweet malty goodness with a mild hop bitterness. World class, for sure.

Jan 16, 2008 This beer reminded me in some ways of a really small barleywine. It carried some of the sweeter characteristics that I find enjoyable in the UK style of b/w’s and in the end it’s a fine beer. The beer bours out a dark red, almost brownish color with a slight haze to it. Aroma is sweet malts (mapleish), raisins, and a touch of smoke. Flavors were just about the same as the nose. Raisins, sweet malts, a bit of peat/smoke. Solid all the way around for sure. While it lacks that "wow" factor, there’s nothing wrong with it. Kinda like not marrying that beautiful blonde bombshell, but instead go with the solid "girl next door".
