Aroma is sweet and malty and there is also slightly roasted malt and dry fruits. Flavour is balanced and not too sweet. There is sweetness, dry friuts and roast malts. Very smooth to drink. Do not drink too cold or you lose lots of aromas and flavours. Rotorhead87 (117), Temple, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 21, 2007 Dark reddish brown, crystal clear with a thin tannish head. Wonderful rich caramel notes with slight hint of coffee. Carrys through into flavour. This is a wonderful beer but it is not really a Wee Heavy which should be 8.0% or more and much richer. It is however an excellent Scottish Export and shold be enjoyed as such. BREWMUSKCLES (1089), New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2007 I think that wee heavy is a honey caramel of a brew that is velvety sweet with an alcohol flavor of buttery light whiskey. it is quaint and smooth with little carbonation or for that manner beer character. i like this brew none the less. it is unpretentious and a free spirit. and i appreciate the opportunity to drink 16.9 oz and still enjoy a nice stroll while going about my business. thepilferer (23), walnut creek, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 12, 2007 Pours a nice reddish brown with a 2-finger soft cream-colored head. Smells mainly of honey. Taste is similar, with barely any hops. Medium-full bodied with a nice lingering sweetness. Very drinkable, if not all that complex. mmmbeer (765), Austin, Texas, USA

This is one beautiful beer. Dark, dark brown with almost a ruby tint to it. This has some of the best lacing that I’ve ever seen. It just clings to the side of the glass.
Caramel aroma with quite a bit of maltiness to it. Very sweet aroma.
Tastes just like it smells. Very sweet, almost too much so. It does have a nice, creamy mouthfeel to it.
A bit too sweet for my tastes, but someone that is a malt lover will dig this beer.
Not a bad beer at all, but just not my style. ParkSloper (16), New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 6, 2007 Aroma features honey and floral notes. Lovely deep copper color. Flavor is biscuity, slightly sweet, with just enough hops for structure. Palate is silky, but finishes cleanly. A satisfying beer that’s a good counterpoint to hop-happy American craft ales.
