Nov 30, 2007 Ruby red with a medium offwhite head. Sweet malt that is about as deep as a 6.5% beer should be; easy drinking but plenty of roasted malt taste. The faintest of alcohol in the finish. Quality brew.

Nov 25, 2007 Updated: Nov 27, 2007Pours a reddish-brown with sugar-laced maltiness. A very smooth brew, this one is a favorite to drink. Could be a bit sweet with limited hops for some, but for malt-lovers it’s a must drink.

smell is caramel, roasted malt, brown sugar.
taste is creamy, sweet, malt, touch of coffee, nutty, some hops.
this beer tastes much better than it looks, creamy, and a sweet nutty taste.

Nov 23, 2007 Draught at the Beer Bistro. Dark reddish brown with a creamy light tan head. Dry roast malt flavor, incredibely smooth and creamy. Woody, somewhat sweet smell with notes of port.

Nov 13, 2007 500ml. bottle. Pours a brownish red hue with honey, caramel malt, dried apple fruit, and a touch of ginger on the nose. The palate is very creamy, and spreads out evenly . The flavor has rich, sweet malt, with a -I know, it’s weird- twizzler like fruitiness before a miniscule amount of hops arrive in the finish. My favorite Belhaven.

Nov 12, 2007 500 ml. bottle. Poured a ruddy brown with a froth almond colored head. Aromas of toffee, cake and "raisin bran," with maybe a touch of chocolate. Syrupy malt flavor, like grain drenched in molasses. Some grassy notes, but otherwise not a whole lot of hops to cut through the cloyingly sweet flavor. Rich mouthfeel. Overall a sweet "malt bomb" which I’m generally not a fan of.
