Sep 2, 2007 Bottle. Dark amber/almost brown pour. Aroma is a sweet malt, with a deep rich creamy malt aroma. Bitterness is nice, and the finish was pretty decent for this brew.

Aug 30, 2007 Bottled. Poured clear reddish-iced tea brown with a sticky cap of beige head. Aroma was dusty and on the lighter end.. well-toasted, peat-laden caramel with an array of mixed fruits. Flavor was aged caramel-based with dusty darker fruits and some oaky and herbal bitterness.. left a sweet, dry fruity and caramel finish. Just shy of medium-bodied and sweet overall with a decent flow.. couple sharper boozy notes and a touch too dry at times. Overall a very enjoyable brew.

Aug 30, 2007 Bottle from LCBO. Pours a reddish-brown liquid. Aroma is malty and sweet. Flavour is sour with a heavy hit of malt on the palate. Slight hint of licorice with loads of caramel from the first sip. Not bad overall.

Aug 28, 2007 It poured a clear, deep brown with a small off-white head. The strong malt flavor was lightly balanced with the hops. The robust mouth-feel was mellow and left a malt laced aftertaste. It satisfied all the criteria of a "wee Heavy.

Aug 26, 2007 poured a nice deep brown color with a small head that faded to lacings. smells very malty with a hint of caramel. very smooth and creamy on the palate. i’ll definitely be buying this again.

Aug 24, 2007 Bottle. Pours a deep caramel in color with an ivory colored head. The aroma is sweet of caramel, and a bit of fruit. The flavor is malty, not overly sweet however. It is well balanced, with a nice light bite to accompany the malts. The finish is rich and full. A well crafted beer.

Aug 24, 2007 Bottled 50cl. It pours a nut brown beer with a nice creamy tanned haed. The nose is of syrup, caramel, cherries, (definately quite a lot of cherries to my surprise). The taste is very sweet, smooth with some cherries again, offering a strong malty background. Caramel, syrup and marshmallows in the taste. Peaty in a very mediocre way. The finish is dry buttery.
