Pours a dark red with some short lived head. Some nice lacing lots of taste. Avery nice beer. Must try.

500ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a deep red, with a nice white head. Nice enough flavour and aroma, but I was a bit dissapointed with the thin body.

Bottle. Reddish brown pour. Caramel malt, sugar, dark fruit, vanilla, nuts, and hints of cherry. Decent beer, worth a try.

Bottled. Dark copper, firm small beige head. Raisiny, slightly buttery and warming nose, rotten fruits, little rust, hint of strong berry wine. Flavor starts with old, dried raisiny fruits, ends with woodiness, slight bitter cocoa, moderate earthy bitterness. Slight rancid butter all over, old school feel. Medium bodied, soft average carbonation, could be a bit thicker. Somehow a bit bulky take on an old style, but I’d love to try this from cask.

Bottle from Sheps Deli (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark brown mahogany color with massive tan head that settles slowly. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of ripe dark fruit, caramel, banana, maple, figs, hints of vanilla and spice. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, ripe dark fruit, brown sugar, banana, fresh cherries, some hints of candy sugar, raisins, and plums. Generally medium body with a sweet malt finish. Nice ale.

Pours clear medium-brown, with a thin tan head, fine lasting lacing. Rich aroma of banana, plum, leather and wood. Medium-heavy body, velvety, slightly tangy. Predominately dark malty flavors, banana-bread, ripe cherry, and nutty, with some grapefruit, hay and wood. Well balanced and quaffable.

Bottle! Pours mahogany with a scummy white head. Speckled lacing. Aroma of toffee and figs. Massive maltiness with a peat background. (I say "peat", but I’m easily influenced by brewery descriptors, and this one is from, you know, Scotland.) So, yeah, good stuff. Smooooth and drinkable and a nice change o’ pace from the standard hop bomb.

Bevuta alla Pazzeria alla spina in carboazoto. Profumata e di color rosso scurissimo. Schiuma compatta e molto persistente, parte e finisce abboccata acquisendo note luppolate solo nella parte centrale. Nasconde benissimo i suoi onesti 6,5 gradi, che però si sentono al gusto nel finale da barley-wine.
