Oct 19, 2006 Pours a dark amber with ruby highlights with a decent-sized tan head. Nice aroma of sweet malt. Flavor is sweet, lightly roasted malts and caramel ... a soft taste not unlike a Wychwood brew. Mild hop finish, lightly astringent. A pleasant beer.

Oct 16, 2006 A great example of a scotish ale. Not quite as smoky as others but a nice deep maltly flavor with a bit of hops finish. A better than avg beer, but not worth the local price.
