| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 13, 2005 Amber lager with a thin off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma with fruity pear notes. Fairly clean malt taste with nice nuttyness, and nice lingering german hops in finish. Medium bodied. Considering this is 9 month olds, it is quite a resilient beer! | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 29, 2004 Nice pale amber body topped with an average off-white frothy head. Malty/hoppy aroma with bready notes (smells like a polish lager). Taste is unexciting without being bad: it is well-balanced but lacks strenght and complexity. Above all, it is characterized with an agressive carbonation. Leaves a short bitter aftertaste. This has nothing to do with winter beer. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 8, 2004 Caramel malt balances nicely with lightly spicy hops in the nose. Clear golden-copper with decent and lasting, pillowy, white head. Some lacing. Light sweet caramel malts balance well with spicy hop flavour and decent balancing bitterness. Medium-light body and strong, effervescent carbonation. Sure, it’s pretty conservative for a winter seasonal and doesn’t exactly push the envelope, but really, for a pale lager, it’s fairly good. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 11, 2004 Amber color, medium white head. Sweet and malty aroma and flavor. Light body. How the hell is this supposed to be a winter lager ? It’s just another ordinary brew from RJ ... now, a doppelbock, that would be a nice winter lager. Roli (321), laval, Quebec, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 7, 2004 Humm, this taste more like a regular macro beer to mee. Got to say the aftertaste is kinda sweet. Not really good for a seasonnal but not disgusting either.... Boutip (2404), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

Pourred a light colored brew with a medium head. The taste is quite light with a nice sweet aftertaste. I would have expected a stronger brew since this is a winter seasonal beer but overall it is not too bad.
