Small bubble 1/8 inch head that’s gone in a second, low level large bubble carbonation. Mouthfeel is silky, a little chewy and slightly oily. Taste is dominated by mild sweet malt, a little biscuity. Undertones of orange juice, a little nutty, and just a splash of spice. Aftertaste is a little rough, a little bit of skunky hop, and a tiny dry ginger finish. Nice example of a Vienna on the blond side. Cheers kwoeltje (1333), Manchester, Missouri, USA

Light bitter, light malty, light overall actually. Very refreshing and great when thirsty I guess. DerWeg (780), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Some may call it bland. With my Tarte Lapin in the Lower Town of Quebec City I found it as wonderfully smooth and sexy as my first ever pint of Bavarian HefeWeizen. Simple is good. I like it just as well now the Beer Store sells it but that first spicy, sultry bottle was pure magic for a Canadian beer (my first Quebec beer eye-opener.) muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 12, 2005 341 ml bottle. Quite clear pale gold with a massive lasting white cap...nose grassy, light pale malts and a hint vegetal...in the body, quite bland and ordinary, bit sugary/malty, no hop presence, touch brown sugar and vanilla and perhaps a bit of spinach...not much to say, really...quenching in this hot weathe without offering much substance. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2005 Bottle, and if I am reading this correctly, best before Sept 04. Must have been hiding in the cellar (my closet). Anyway, nice copper colour with a small white head. Some nice caramel and bread notes in aroma. Taste, thankfully not gone bad or anything, is actually pretty decent for a lager (so says the bottle) - light malt taste and a little bit of hops. Also a bit of a funky aftertaste and it is kind of watery, but given the date and the low expectations, not too bad.
