Commercial Description:
Belle Gueule Pilsner is a unique blonde beer with a surprising touch of hops, brewed according to the tradtiion of the great Czeckoslovakian Pilsners. Its light, yet full-bodied taste is the result of a long unhurried fermentation.

(341 ml bottle) Pale blonde. Not much in terms of aroma. Head quickly dies. If thirsty this is a quite drinkable beer but as noted by others not spectacular. Nothing special. There are better pilsner out there.

Bottled. Malty and some herbal hops in the aroma but also the skunky hop you find in so many German pilseners. Pale golden color, white head, good lace. Malty, lightly hopped, very crisp. Nice refreshing pilsener.

341 ml bottle. Cloudy, oily effervescent gold gradually clears as the medium fluffy head quickly dies...nicely balanced malty-grassy hop nose with hints of lilac and, quite strangely, salami (no I don’t have any in the house)....pleasantly tangy mouthfeel, slightly high carbonation and again excellently balanced sweet pale malt with some tartness and hints of dry hops late...no masterpiece this, but a finely turned workmanlike example, severely underrated here in my opinion.

Tap at brewery. Light yellow beer with a thin white head. Light malty aroma . light watery beer with barely any malts. Rather commercial beer.

[on tap at brewery] Dark straw with patchy, thin head and a good ring and lace. Very weak malt aroma with a tiny bit of noble hops. Malt is apparent in the flavour, with a little bit of hops, but both are quite weak and the bittering is nonexistant. Feel is thin and watery and a bit grating at end. This really is not great beer.

Pours a clear, pale golden color with a thin, bubbly white head. Boring aroma of malt. Mild flavor of hops and malt, mild bitter finish. Light body, watery texture, strong carbonation. Boring.
