Dec 29, 2009 341 mL Bottle sampled Dec 24, 2009. Amber body with a fast-disssipating bubbly head. Sweet syrupy aroma of malt, crystal malt, notes of brown sugar and treacle. This one is a bit sweet for my liking; sweet malts dominate, the aftertaste and finish are like demerara sugar. It struggles to make a good impression.

Sourish fruit toffee aroma with a touch of cinnamon. Clear orangish, dark brown under a thin, off-white cover. Nutty toffee flavour with a little raisin, sweet brown sugar and low bitterness. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly tangy finish.

Oct 1, 2009 Bouteille de 341 ml dégustée au restaurant Les Cabotins (Montréal, QC). Arôme: Légère odeur de caramel avec une pointe de fumée. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel avec une pointe d’houblons. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de caramel en arrière goût. (Rating #2673)

Mar 2, 2009 This beer poured light with a small head. It appeared pure in the German style. It therefore was a little boring and too light for me. There were hints of apricot and a pure wheat taste. This beer is very easy on the palate.

Jun 5, 2008 clear amber color, touch of malt in the aroma, and not much else. Flavour is very wattery, with a touch of caramel malt, Very boring beer. Almost like colored water.

Apr 20, 2008 Robe de couleur ambrée. Léger col mousseux. Contient des arômes de malt, de caramel et de noix. En bouche, le fini est plutôt huileux et a un léger goût fumé. Somme tout, une bière rousse bien appréciable.
