Tasted 04/06/2005. 330ml bottle Regional’s, Wellington. Pours a clear, fizzy, pale pink champagney colour with a pink tinged head. Aroma is like sniffing a bowl of wet, freshly picked, berries. Light mouthfeel delivers a dry sweet and tart flavour with little noticeable malt or hop influence. Like champagne with rasberries but not quite as dry. A nice wee pre-dinner drink, definitely not a quaffer.

Vintage 2001: Light brown with pink highlights and a short white head, this has a good fresh fruit aroma, stems and all. It’s got sweet raspberry tastes with just a smack of tartness. The finish is lighly sweet-sour. Tasty.

Deep red with a whiteish head. Aromas are sweet raspberry, some mustiness with a light sourness. Flavours are sweet raspberry with dark cherries. Not much sourness or wild yeast character. Has a refreshing sparkle. As a lambic its not great but as a sweet raspberry drink it does the job.

Sweet cherry malt aroma. Red brown colour with fair head. Sweet malt cherry flavour very very sweet respberry fruity flavour. Fizzy palate. Guess I am sweet enough as this one was way too sweet for me.

Sharp raspberry flavour. Very tart, especially given Belle- vue’s tendency for sweetness. A solid lambic. note: this is the second bottle I’ve tried 2 years after the first. Anomoly or have they wised up and produced a superior product?

(Bottle 37,5 cl) "Is this beer???" was the remark I encountered when I introduced this beer to a female friend. And the remark is quite understandable if this is your first introduction to a fruit beer. Reddish colour, a bubbly head. Some underlying acidity but the sweetness from the rapberry juice is close to overwhelming. But as an aperitf this is perfect. 160793

Aroma: mix of water icypoles and rasberry yoghurt. Appearance: clear amber brown with a foamy just off white head. Flavour: sharp hop with lots of berries and touch cidery. Palate: thin sweet and lingering.

Quite nice in appearance with its big frothy head, but I would have preffared it to be a cloudy beer.Very raspberry, almost too much.Sweet drink with a sour finish.Glad that Ive tried it.
