caesar (3020), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Jul 3, 2004 Light clear orange color, big frothy off-white head. Sour artificial aroma of sirupy and sticky raspberry, which is also the way it tastes. Very thin, short finish. dreamboat (186), Brisbane, Australia Jun 25, 2004 I was expecting bad things after the dissappoitnment of the Kreik, but this was a step in the right direction. Less syrupy flavour, drier and far more drinkable. A hint of red in the colour, doesn’t hold a good head, and a slight aroma of tart fruitiness, all reasonable but not outstanding, but on the right track for the style. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA Jun 21, 2004 Syrupy sweet 2001 vintage sampled in 2004. Too much sugary thickness and artificial taste. Some sourness and "lambic-ness" does come through, but not nearly enough! JagerQueen (123), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jun 17, 2004 Pours a brownish red in color, almost all brown, malty. No head, just some slight lacing post pour. Aroma is incredibly faint, an almost undetectable raspberry. Taste is fairly foul, very sour and acidic, some light sweetness but it disappears into a slight burning fruit flavor. Better as it warms, but still not great. skortila (2875), Bunnik, Netherlands Jun 6, 2004 Updated: Jul 26, 2004Straong cherry aroma with some wood and sweetness. Clear, dark-red coloured with a short white head. taste is sirupy, cherry, sweet and a little wood. Sticky texture. bluevegie (2169), Perth, Australia Jun 4, 2004 Nice lasting light pink coloured head on a murky amber body. The aroma was definitely cherry with a touch of oak. A little watery in the taste but cherry and oak once again and the sweetness coming late in the palate. invalid (302), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 2, 2004 Brown color with yeast flakes floating around. White head. Smells like artificial raseberries. Tastes too sweet. Not so good. savannah (37), columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 2, 2004 Murky amber color with white head. Artificial raspberry aroma. Slightly acidic, tart, artificial raspberry flavor. Overall poor quality for a lambic. Tastes as if someone added raspberry flavoring to crappy beer.
