Pours with a thin white head atop a rose colored body. Nice lacing. Lightly sour with a moderate raspberry aroma and flavor. Very good. Maybe better than the Kriek. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 31, 2003 Aroma is a bit sweet. Light hops. Fragrance of raspberries but not strong. Rubbery. Dark orange-amber clear with lacing small white head. Medium body and carbonation. Mild tartness of berries up front. Mild hops. Light raspberry taste. Overall, watery. Not a really good framboise lambic. mullet (798), Melbourne, Australia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 30, 2003 Not really sure why I bought this beer - definitely wanted the bottle for my home-brewed Lambic but I'm not sure it's the best value at $7 each.
Aroma is fruity and completely lacking in Brett. character. In fact there was no discernable Brett. character at all. Attractive beer, red tinged with pretty decent head.
Flavour was pretty reasonable. Quite fruity but quickly followed by a fairly strong sourness (a lot more than I remember).
This has satisfied my need for crappy Lambics for quite some time. dhurtubise (568), Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 11, 2003 Had a 5 year old sample yeasterday. Interesting how this beer dries up over time. Still not all thhat great for the style but definetly nicer than their sweet offerings. The three year old sample would rate in around a 3.1, but their usual framboise is less. rauchbier (2997), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2003 Updated: Apr 11, 2004Bottled. Red brown with a good white head that is initialy tight and creamy but quickly breaks up into big bubbles and thins. No real lambic aromas except for a slight meatiness under the raspberry note which avoids being artificial but seems a little forced . Sweet and syrupy raspberry in the mouth but smooth with a suggestion of caramel. Some tartness is noticable in the aftertaste which is oily and short with a perfumed note.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 3, 2003 (rather aged sample) Drab brown with pinkish-red shine; thin white head, stable. Nose like something to deodour the toilet with. Overpowers anything else. Or a raspberry-ish sweet, for starving children. At the end, there's a whiff of vinegar - for the tartar? Sweet, sugary raspberry-ish taste. Something pink bought on the fair because the child wouldn't stop screaming. Very slight acidity. Oily, sticky-sweet mouthfeel. Strange sweet-sourish aftertaste. A disgrace. To add insult to injury, there is true raspberrylambic inside the Henegouwenkaai. Or there used to be... RobBestwick (555), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 1, 2003 Raspberry and pink champahne aroma. Red colur with large white head. Quite like a pils with essence of raspberry, more beer like than a lot of lambics. Its good stuff!
