Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium Jul 29, 2007 Bottle, 25 cl. Clear pinkisch red color, thick white (pinkisch shine) head. Aroma sweet and raspberry. Thin to medium body. Taste: mouth is dull raspberry, sweet. strings (361), Sydney, Australia Jul 11, 2007 Not quite as good as the kriek. Amazingly sniffable, but perhaps a bit overpowering in the sweetness stakes, to the point of being a bit sickly. Great in small quantities, and an excellent alternative to Benedryl. oberabcbbsok (686), Hoboken, Belgium Jun 15, 2007 Bottle a nice not to sweet fruit beer. The smellof raspberry is overwhelming. One of the better rasberry beers FatPhil (3446), Espoo, Finland Jun 13, 2007 Bottle
RIch and bright red. Tight white head. Sharp raspberry sweetness, but full smooth and milky maltness. Mellow and refreshing. SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy May 20, 2007 Bottle: Poured a reddish orange amber color with a light reddish white head. Aroma was sour berry and water. Sour raspberry and malt that finished bland. ChrisTurner (202), Melbourne, Australia May 9, 2007 Updated: Jun 15, 2007Bottle -- Surprisingly attractive pale amber with a largish, fairly dense head. Not much retention but some lacing. Aroma of pure lolly water and nought else. Palate is watery. Flavour is unpleasantly medicinal. A sharp yet thin and artificial bitterness right at the end. I can’t find anything pleasant or interesting in this stuff. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Apr 29, 2007 A Mes rate:
Bottle at some random pub in Marylebone. Acrid synthetic sweet framboise. Cheap rubbish and everyone knows it. reakt (938), Greater London, England Apr 25, 2007 Updated: Sep 1, 2007bottled. One of my very first Belgian beers and its still a good’un. Watery brown colour with thin head. Light aroma of raspberries and flowers with some earthy notes. Taste ot match - flavour is a bit thin. Bubbly and sweet with a dry finish.
