Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 1, 2004 An amber beer with a fine beige head. The aroma is very powerful and totally dominated by raspberries - no sourness or other hints of the wildfermentation. The flavor is sweet and totally dominated by raspberries - again no hints of the wild fermentation. A boring framboise if You like the wild fermented beers - but if You like sodapops this will be a winner. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 12, 2005 Updated: Jan 8, 2006(Bottle 37,5 cl) "Is this beer???" was the remark I encountered when I introduced this beer to a female friend. And the remark is quite understandable if this is your first introduction to a fruit beer. Reddish colour, a bubbly head. Some underlying acidity but the sweetness from the rapberry juice is close to overwhelming. But as an aperitf this is perfect. 160793 omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden May 2, 2002 Deep red. Very sweet. Juicy raspberry flavour. oh6gdx (8801), Vasa, Finland Nov 4, 2005 Bottled. Orange colour, big head. Sweet raspberry in aroma. Sweetish bitter raspberry in flavour. Feels a bit artificial. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Nov 21, 2000 Way too sweet. Not even good as a beginner’s lambic. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 27, 2005 37.5cl bottle from Auchan labelled as La Becasse. OK so I had a cold when I had this, but that is no excuse. Russet colour with thin white head. Sweetish raspberry fruit on aroma. Some sourness in mouth but then smothered by sweetness of the fruit. More raspberry on finish with sour pip coming through. Could do with a bit less artificial fruit sweetness TBone (6675), Pori, Finland Aug 1, 2004 Bottled (BB 01/2005)
