Not my favourite. The Browarmia framboise in the brewpub in Warsaw, Poland, is definetly my choice also in the future. dm9831 (1168), Monee, Illinois, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 5, 2005 Nothing much going on here, actually a little disappointed I chose this to taste over a bottle of Orval, but I guess I needed to try it some time. Tasted at the Belgian Beer café, Perth. Poured from the bottle into it’s own champagne flute, which pretty much summed this beer up before I even got to the first sip. Pours a clear light garnet-amber with a big and fluffy, pinkish-white head, that produced a reasonable amount of lace. Generous raspberry nose, slight white wine note, tart and acidic. In the mouth it all fell to pieces as the aroma was quite inviting. Very light bodied, watery and spritzy, it had the making of a glass of ’Passion Pop’ if it weren’t for the underlying sugary and fruity raspberry flavours that became puckeringly astringent in the back. It finishes off with a long dry tart fruit swallow that somehow managed to save it. Lacks complexity and became quite boring by the end. Commercialisation seems to have led this Lambic away from it’s roots. Not the best!!! GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland
