Raspberry, sweet and slightly acetic notes in the nose. Mouth is dull raspberry, slightly sweet and lasting dullness. Dusty. Average. Rich dull palate. OK, but nothing special. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 18, 2006 Thin head and caramel brown in the glass, lighter than expected. Tart cherry and berry fruits waft a long way from the glass. Some spice and smokey notes - quite good. Palate doesn’t show as well, nice tart, sour fruits and more smokey hints early but they fade away quite quickly, leaving a slightly dilutive fruit / flavour profile that runs out of steam. Nice finish though with smoke and hop like spice. IslandHaole (1035), Onna-Son, Okinawa-Ken, Japan
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 12, 2005 A dark Orange/Ruby color with a slight haze and an off-white head. Sweet berry with some wood & a slight tart scent. Very syrupy sweet up front with a bit of oakiness in the middle and just a hint of lambic tartness in the follow. As in their Kriek offering, this is fairly tasty but too sweet. Lunkie (1020), Glen Iris, Australia

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 3, 2008 courtesy of Miver. Poured an amber/orange olor body with a small white head. Quite a week rasberry aroma. Flavor is a watery hodge podge of rasberries, sugar, and an odd funk. Not so good. VENOM (941), Connecticut, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 11, 2002 Rose hued amber. Thin off pink head. Light carbonation. Horsebarn aroma muted by a heap of raspberry syrup. Fizzy, yet full, and tart with a dollop of raspberry sweetness. Medium bodied. Sticky and mildly cloying but far from annoying. More Lambic flavored than many fruit versions, which seem to be more about the fruit and nada about the Lambic. Finishes thinner but nicely tart and seamlessly fruity. Something I would drink for dessert, if a big, fat, hairy Stout wasn’t close by.
