Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 19, 2002 A beutiful golden red beer but without much head. It has a sharp nose of wild fermentation. And a fresh sharp bitter taste of the wild fermentation. A very drinkable gueze, not too dry or bitter. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden May 2, 2002 I sampled the 1994 version if June 2000. Deep golden colour. Sweet cognac flavour. Mature. There are much better gueuzes around, but layed down for a few years it is worthwile drinking. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 14, 2005 Updated: Jan 9, 2006(Bottle 37,5 cl) This was my first ever gueuze back in ’93. At that time I considered it to be an extreme beer. I was only to be wiser later in life... Orangey, amber colour, small head and high carbonation. Vinous and tart. Even though the added sugars level things out a bit, this is never sweet. Actually a rather sophisticated and pleasant beer - although it’s "only" a commercial gueuze. 081093 Oakes (6819), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 16, 2001 Light, bland, slightly candyish example that quite frankly lacks any particular lambic character. joergen (6240), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 7, 2005 Bottled.
Clear red brown coloured with an off white head.
Very sweet aroma tith notes of marzipan, fruits and wood.
Sweet flavour of marzipan, fruits and wood. Watery palate.
