Belle-Vue Kriek

Pressão: tomada em Brugge, Bélgica, em novembro/2007. Coloração vermelha com creme rosa consistente e persistente. Notas agradáveis de cereja sem parecer artificial. Há um leve amargor que a diferencia de uma cidra. Características sutis de cerveja. Nota: 4,1. Garrafa: tomada em janeiro/2008, em Santos. Coloração vermelha, creme rosa. Tem um paladar salgado, diferente. Gostosa, mas nada de excepcional. Traz consigo algo de artificial. Nota: 3,2.

I know it’s not the best fruit lambic out there, but as the only option readly available, I have to say I like it. It’s dark red, with beautiful pink(!?!) head. Sweet and acid aroma, with obvious cherry notes. Taste is like the aroma. I wish it was a little bit tarter, as cantillon, but that’s ok. But it is impossible to drink more than one bottle...

Draught. Pours a dark red colour with short lasting head. Flavor is sweet but still sour as well. Cherries very present. Acidic. Lambic is not really my taste in beer. But still it’s interesting to see the variety in beers.

Definitely a different beer. I was curios to try it due to the fermentation, maturing and ageing process. Wine red color with really strong cherry aroma and sour/sweet aftertaste.

Bottled. What beer!! Totally different! :) Wine color, amazing huge and fluffy pink foamy. Aroma is like some cherry candy and no chances to say that is a beer by his aroma! Flavor is like a cherry cider. Mouthfeel is like a cherry candy with a little bit note of hop!

Português: Cerveja totalmente diferente do que eu já tinha experimentado :). Cor de vinho com uma espuma rosada, enorme e maravilhosa além de persistente. Aroma é como uma bala de cereja, sem chances de dizer que é uma cerveja através do aroma. Sabor de cidra de cerja, retrogosto de bala de cereja com uma nota bem pouquinha de lúpulo nop final.

If i were just to go on taste and not the fact that its supposed ot be beer, ide say its excellent, but ide much rather have a real beer.

Nose of glazed cherries - not nice. Nose also detects yeast and a sourness. Taste is overly sweet, with some cloying. Tartness also but the cherry taste dominates and distracts, not my cup of tea at all.

Tap @ Popeye’s: Ruby red, light pink head, nose of full fruit and light tartness. Some chewy vanilla and light sweet cherry notes in the tail. Sweet, lacking the choice tart balance that are key in the great lambics.
