A long lasting, frothy, pinkish head. Smells like a soap shop. Medium body and low to medium carbonation. Not malty at all. Sweet cherry, cranberry and apple flavours with a very slight sourness. Not my normal taste in a beer but quite enjoyable. jkm (189), Australia

It has a nice cherry flavor but you can still tell it is a beer. It has a medium red color. Just cant drink too many at one time. Bullit (1334), Glasgow, Scotland

Some BS on the label about traditional recipe, blah blah. Pours pinkish-red with a light pink head. Black cherry sour candy aroma. There is a slight tartness to the cherry flavor, which is mildly sweet but not cloying like a soda pop. The result is refreshing. But that’s the only dimension to this beer, which offers no truly beery elements. No funkiness, no bitterness, etc. Pretty damned boring. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 13, 2007 Almost syrupy, tastes artificially sugary. Not bad, just not beery. Have had this (in Luxembourg) and also La Becasse (in France), which, according to Ratebeer, is supposed to be the same thing - the consistency of La Becasse is more watery, and tastes more like cough syrup. Would say that Belle-Vue is okay but would recommend staying away from La Becasse. DruncanVeasey (2710), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England

Plenty of oak, apple juice and cherrydrop fruitiness in the snout. Sweetly..well, cherryish with a countering edge of sourness and lots of drawn-out creamy vanilla malt after the swallow. Nothing complex but nicely balanced Kriek.
