Not quite the sugary alco pops that seem to all the rage in Belgium at the moment and not any near the greatness of the Authentic Lambic Breweries. This does have some sourness to it and I vividly remember my first one. At Ming on tap. Page 47 of MJ’s GBG and 474 Classic Brews to go

Can. Deep red colour with a short fizzy head. Fresh aroma of cherries, some sourness. Aroma is dominated by cherries, nice sourness, good touch of sweetness. A really great lambiek.

On draught. Very yeasty aroma that I found a little off-putting. Looked good in the glass - a nice deep, translucent pink with a thick long lasting head. Very sweet and not particularly complex, but with a underlying sharpness and good cherry fruit. A little cherryade-ish, but the underlying tartness make it a very enjoyable drink.

cherry, cheese aroma; quiet yet very fizzy mouthfeel; sweet, slightly tart; big, tightly beaded head; a filling liquid cherry bread! pretty strong, but not much to this...

Bottle. Clear deep red with a brownish tinge, nice fluffy pinkish head. Sweetish candy-like aroma of cherris. Also perfume and notes of vinegar. Taste is a little acidic with light sweet dark cherries. Slight tart finish. Enjoyable, but a bit artificial.

Bottle. Berry aroma, apple taste with a dry sherry finish. Dark red colour, lovely foam. A bit artificial, though.
