PorterPounder (3132), Tallahassee, Florida, USA May 24, 2005 Calandro’s Supermarket, Baton Rouge, La. 375 ml bottle. Pours a murky orangeish, brown with a bit of a cranberry tint to it - little to no head. Aroma has a hint of musty cheese, and some sour cherries. Flavor does not have much of that sour acidic taste and mouthfeel that I desire when I drink a lambic. Detect some sour cheries, but very muted. Finishes with a metallic clink. Dissapointed to say the least. HermanW (619), Coevorden, Netherlands May 15, 2005 It was a long time ago that I had a kriek. This tastes as I espected. Special. Its a beer that you have to learn. In some way I like it. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England May 10, 2005 not the best kriek by a long shot. aroma is that of cherry flavoured iron filings. flavour is very manufactured, slightly tart, not overly sweet but tollerable. the finish is much better tho. it looks great, beautiful ruby with a nice pink head but it dies quickly. nothing more to say really. find a better kriek Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA May 5, 2005 Updated: Sep 3, 2005Bottle: This pours a deep ruby red with a tall, well-sustained head. The aroma is sweet cherries and a tartness that stems not from the fruit, but from the wheat. The medium bodied drink has a very fruity taste to it with the tart cherry and mild bitter flavors coming through in the finish. A tasty, fun drink.

Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 4, 2005 Updated: Jan 8, 2006(Bottle 25 cl) Beautiful deep, almost rusty red. A touch of red also in the head. Fruity (juice only I reckon) and fresh. Not really bad for a commercial kriek. 300693 Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 2, 2005 Pinkish red, with retaining thin lace. Dry drink, drier than dry wines.Definate true cherry flavour. Strong carbonation tingles mouth and tongue. Satisfying and semi-sweet oh6gdx (8795), Vasa, Finland May 1, 2005 Bottled. Dark red, beige foamy head. Bitter cherry aroma. Sour cherry flavour, which leaves an oily palate. A bit of apple in the finnish too. A bit artificial. Otje (668), Leiden, Netherlands Apr 25, 2005 this is certainly not the best kriek-beer i’ve had, appearance is good. aroma is a little to soft, almost no cherries. taste is too artificial to me (syrupy?). underlying sour and earthy lambic taste is good, but hard to notice. thin body. finish is too sweet.
