I enjoyed the fruity taste, but it did seem quite artificial and syrupy. Not really much beer character to it though. I could see how this style could be quite pleasant, and I look forward to trying more of the quality offerings available. Decent. haddonsman (1234), Derby, Derbyshire, England

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 1, 2004 Updated: Aug 11, 2005(on bottle) These dry, fruit beers tend to be odd for the averege beer-lover; me. But having this, deep ruby brew with a short-lasting pink head, to a sweet(very sweet)desert, actually was a good experience. A bit artificial, metallic aftertaste, though.
RERATED: More experienced now, but itīs still a very sweet beer, candy if you like. wulfhere (217), Billings, Montana, USA

Not much head to it, and a few old yeast clumpies.
Nose is oddly in balance for a lambic--must, yeast and tart cherry versus malt and hay.
Body is oily and the taste is again oddly indifferent for what should be an aggressive style. jgb9348 (2495), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 24, 2004 Cloudy burgundy-brown coloured body with a thin pinkish head. Aroma of cherries, malt, tartness and some sweetness. Medium-bodied; Mild tart flavour with hardly any tartness and barely any malt quality. Aftertaste not too pleasing-actually mild compared to a normal lambic. Overall, I'd much rather have a liefman's or lindeman's, but this was available on tap...so I figured i'd try it. I had a pint of this on draught at a small pub in Toronto, Ontario on 09-April-2004. DrBeer (777), Danderyd Stockholm, Sweden

Aroma of cherries and yoghurt.
A bit sweet and beery flavor with acidic tones and some bitterness.
Too industrial kriek for my taste Beer Snob (380), Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 15, 2004 A lovely looking brew with a nice head and a beautiful cherry aroma. First sip is a bit strange - unless you subsist on fruity beers - but it settles down nicely and a bit of sourness comes forth. Sweetness disappears and it leaves a nice aftertaste.
