Nice bitter cherry flavor (most Krieks are more sweet than this one but I like the bitterness!) and also a good bitter and sour aftertaste. Filthmuppet (33), Newtown, Australia

As i have no point of comparison and I dont take my beer as seriously as some, I have to say that this was a surprise, I love that Belgiumy sour finish, it's like there is a party in my mouth and everyone is invited. The sweet/sour cheery flavours certainly hang around on the old palate for a while. Cant wait to try the "real thing". Still has nothing on Motelpogos cherry beer, mmmmm cherry beer. Served in small Belle Vue Kriek snifter. Ruby red in color with a thin off white head. Light cherry flavor and not too sweet. Very good. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Maybe I'm just not a fruit beer kinda dude, but I can think of several dozen ways this could be improved. At least it's somewhat subtle. IslandHaole (1035), Onna-Son, Okinawa-Ken, Japan
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 24, 2003 Ruby hued with a foamy tan/pink head. A sweet & tart aroma like cherry pie filling. Initially a maoderate sweetness with a pleasant tart middle and a mild bitter follow. This was a treat to find out here in the far reaches of northern Japan. Muggus (193), Sydney, Australia

I've especially never tried a beer with a champagne bottle style cork, and continually reminded me of such a thing when I opened it.
A sour cherry, almost grapey smell in the bottle, similar to a wine, again. Upon pouring into a glass it formed a thin foamy kind of head with a beautiful red body. This can't be a beer! The flavour is quite a light but quite tart and sweet cherry flavour, with subtle hints of what I seems like grapes and strawberries. This beer reminds me of a very nice red wine i've tried, just much lighter on the palate.
Very nice indeed, but reminds me too much of a wine to take too seriously. dortmunder (961), Herdecke, Germany

Quite nice. Dalle (1146), Skørping, Denmark
